Tuberculosis remains one of the major causes of death worldwide. In 2020, there were an estimated 9.9 million TB cases according to the WHO, of which about 1.5 million led to death. The majority of these cases occur in low- and middle-income countries. Most frightening, however, is the fact that of the estimated 9.9 million cases, about 4.1 million remain undetected. Gaps between the estimated number of new cases and the number actually reported are due to underreporting of cases detected and underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis. The reasons for that are manifold.

The HUMAFIA® instrument presents with a good compact and robust shape. The size is suitable and the instrument easily fits on a laboratory bench, even a narrow one. No issue was observed during the installation of the instrument, and it functioned well with our electrical voltage and power. PROCALCITONIN assay (PCT): Procalcitonin testing was performed for targeted groups of patients presenting with fever. The conclusion is that the assay is really strongly correlated and predictive of bacterial infection Patients presenting with cryptococcal infections or tuberculosis did not have high values. The test also helped to diagnose potential bacterial infection in cancer patients, helping to differentiate with para neoplasic fever.

As a quality manager and user of the HumaStar 200 and UPS system, I'm thoroughly satisfied. The low water consumption of the HumaStar 200 has significantly contributed to our ability to manage limited resources more effectively

I was looking for a new analyzer to replace an outdated, fully-automated analyzer with high maintenance costs in my private laboratory. The proposal I considered was to switch to the fully-automated coagulation analyzer HumaClot Pro. Today, I greatly appreciate the homogenization of the reaction mix through stirring bars in the reaction cuvettes and also the rapid generation of results. My decision to switch was supported by the fact that the test results are perfectly comparable to the results of my previous fully-automated analyzer. With the installation of the HumaClot Pro, I also introduced specialty assays, like Hemostat Antithrombinliquid and Hemostat D-Dimer. Previously, I used to run both types of assays as radial immunodiffusion tests (RID) before the installation of HumaClot Pro.

We have been using HUMAN products since 1996, such as HumaStar 600, HumaStar 300, HumaLyte and Humalyzer 4000. We like the quality and reliability of the products, as well as the technical support. The instruments are easy to use, very accurate and offer a perfect performance. The reagents are stable and excellent.
